If I were casting director for a Letters feature film ...

Look, I know it's a pipe dream--that's what's so fun about it. If I could cast a movie version of Letters, these fine British, Irish and French actors would be my first choices:

Maisie Bristow: Felicity Jones

Adeline Westley: Andrea Riseborough

Stuart Hill: Matthew Goode

Peter Bristow: Jim Sturgess

Vaughn Rousseau: Gaspard Ulliel

Mr. Krause: Eddie Redmayne

James Murphy: Hugh Dancy

Julien Fortescue: Cyril Mourali

Brighid Murphy - Saoirse Ronan

Elyse Westley - Monica Bellucci

That is all for now--I am sure I will come up with more, and post them when I do. In the meantime, whom would YOU cast in these roles? Let us know!

I have to say, I really love your choice in men, although, I can't put my finger on exactly why. As for the ladies, you got it all wrong. Addie and Masie should be portrayed by more middle-aged women. Hmm, where to find a couple of those? Why, I think you and I should play the parts! Those young, beautiful women can be our body doubles. :)

I loved Felicity Jones as Catherine Morland in Northanger Abbey. Good choices! Although, now I've forgotten who some of these people are. I have to read Letters over again! Oh, darn. ;)

P.S. I wouldn't have forgotten them if I had read each letter in sequence in the course of a week. The only reason I've forgotten is because I don't get to read it that closely together --you know? So, it's all good. :)

Cheryl--there is one person on there who actually hasn't appeared on the blog yet, although I have written her. Brighid (BREE-id) Murphy is James Murphy's sister.
Also--we get it. When you've been reading a single novel for almost 10 months in little bits and pieces, it is only natural that you might forget things. It's all good. :)
